Surprise Proposal in Tofino, British Columbia // Erin + Andrew

Get ready for the sweetest surprise proposal in Tofino, British Columbia. Andrew had this in the works for a while when he contacted me to photograph this beautiful engagement. He wanted it to be quiet and special and have his friends around so we settled on Wickaninnish Beach which at sunset is WAY less populated with tourists than the neighbouring beaches. Erin didn’t suspect a single thing when I said “hey do you guys want to get some sunset photos before it disappears?” to which she happily agreed. She still didn’t suspect a thing when I prompted her to get some solo shots while Andrew “put something in his bag” *wink wink*. All I had to say was “Okay Erin, look at Andy for a second” and BOOM. S74 is a cute photo studio in the heart of collingwood outfitted with all the photo set ups your imagination desires. This session was quick and dirty, Cristina Corti of Clairwood Real Estate and I came up with 3-4 different lifestyle set ups to help get photos for her website and social media. A sweet in-home maternity session is just what I had been waiting for after this pandemic. In June 2019 lucky me got to go to Mexico to witness these two get married and ever since then have been RAVING about destination weddings. There’s nothing like going somewhere warm with 40 of your closest friends and family and actually getting to know the other guests. You can imagine my excitement when Steph + Chris told us that A) they were having a child and B) asked me to take their maternity session photos.

Collingwood Florals + Pottery Collaboration

If you’re after Collingwood florals and pottery, i’ve got you covered. Right in the heart of downtown Collingwood is Jessica Hobson Events Artistry a solo gal that puts together the most incredible floral displays in collingwood for any event. I’ve worked with her lots on styled sessions and real weddings and can’t say enough good things. The products she delivers is always stunning. This particular session was a collaboration between JH Events Artistry and another local business Hello Pottery. Hello Pottery offers memberships, classes and clay goods for purchase. The space is dreamy and truly transports you to another country.
