 I say this a lot but this might be my favourite session ever. Not only did the photos turn out perfect but I was greeted with a white wine spritzer and was sent home with a bouquet of hand picked flowers. Not that I need to be pampered when I work but small gestures like that make all the difference as a photographer in high pressure situations. I had also just have 3 months of massive business  growth coming out of covid + the gestures reminded me to enjoy the little things. 

This makes me more than happy to promote Hen + Harrow Farm run by a few cousins that live together on this family compound. They have farm fresh eggs, turkeys, pigs, a horse, a donkey and a bunch of dogs.

They’re also all killing their content on social because of this photoshoot… also not kidding. Georgian Peaks is hands down the best spot to get fitness influencer inspiration in Ontario. I mean, just take a look at Erin and this landscape. We did this session in early July at sunset and although we were a bit early, this mountain session was stunning. Erin oddly enough wasn’t used to shooting with a professional photographer but she was a dang pro. Sometimes influencers expect a VERY posed experience with their photographers. They’ll bring a plethora of inspiration and leave little room for creativity so when I shoot with influencers, I like to peel back those layers and just get to know THEM. It takes A LOT OF TRUST for people to let go of their inhibitions and their past photo experiences but for me it means the difference between a successful shoot + an unsuccessful one. 9 times out of 10 my clients choose the unposed in between moments where they really look and feel like themselves + that is what I’m after.
